The desktop client is required to use the Share feature to share presentations, files and applications, or their desktop screen, as well as to create and distribute polls, and to record and save meeting archives. Smart Install allows you to download and install the desktop client from a meeting, and rejoin the meeting after installation completes.
Smart Install is typically initialized in one of three ways:
On the Quick Start Menu, by selecting Download and Install if you want to connect using Computer Audio.
On the Meeting Information tab, clicking Install...
From in the Waiting Room, clicking Install the required tools now
However, you may be prompted to install the desktop client if you attempt to initialize Share or VoIP while using the web client.
Note: You will be prompted to download and install the desktop client if you are promoted from participant to presenter during a meeting.
After initializing an installation, a popup will appear at the left side of your screen that contains a download link and the meeting code required to rejoin the meeting once installation has completed.
Note: If your default browser is Google Chrome, you must add the meeting client extension when prompted. If your default browser is Mozilla Firefox, you must activate the meeting client plugin when prompted after the installation completes.
